If I had 3 minutes to audit a climate or nature website, the ONE thing I would look at is – who it talks about.
Most websites talk about the company itself.
Our, our, our…
Our mission, our features, our partners…
The thing is – nobody gives a sh*t.
Your potential clients don’t have the brain power to decode your website, connect the dots and guess what you can do for them.
A good website explicitly:
– Names who the company works with – Lists the problems it solves – Says exactly what they sell – Shows the results a client gets – Makes it fast and simple to get started
If I see this 👆 I say, “Well done!” and don’t even charge for the audit.
If I don’t – they get harsh and brutal feedback from me: what to remove, what to add – and why.
